Time is running out to buy tickets for a renowned string group’s Loch Lomond Christmas concert later this month.
The Rannoch Trio will be performing at the Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs' concert in Gartocharn’s Ross Priory on Sunday, November 26 with doors opening at 1.30pm for the show at 2pm.
Playing a selection of classical and Christmas music, the band will be joined by wood turner Maggie Irving from Rosneath who will be showing and selling her work which will benefit the Friends and the Maid of the Loch.
A spokesperson said: “Over the years the Friends have enjoyed an eclectic mix of musicians at the Christmas event and this year they welcome The Rannoch Trio who first met whilst working professionally with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
“Also at the event will be the talented wood turner from Rosneath, Maggie Irving who will be displaying some of the beautiful objects she creates from heritage wood.
“Some of her work supports the fundraising efforts of the volunteers who are restoring Loch Lomond’s paddle steamer Maid of The Loch.
“The truly unique objects each come with a provenance certificate and any one of them would make a superb Christmas present.
“Maggie will be donating a portion of her proceeds to the Friends so do come along and enjoy the music, mulled wine and a mince pie and support the Maid of The Loch as well as the Friends.”
Tickets are priced at £20 and can be booked by contacting Mrs Jennifer Plunkett at info@lochlomondtrossachs.org.uk or by calling Jennifer on 07496 433134 no later than Thursday, November 23.
Tickets can also be purchased via the Friends online shop at www.lochlomondtrossachs.org.uk.
