Helensburgh's MSP has blasted a series of racist incidents at the weekends as "shocking".
Jackie Baillie hit out as police appealed for witnesses to two crimes of racist abuse in the town on Sunday evening.
A taxi driver was racially abuse while he was parked in his cab outside Helensburgh rail station in East Princes Street on Sunday evening.
The incident happened around 7.45pm on November 12, and the suspect was described as 27 years old.
He was 6'2" tall, with a stocky build, black hair, wearing a black jacket and white trainers when the suspect approached the driver.
The same man is believed to have spat on the victim's tax around 2.20pm on November 8 while he was again parked outside the station.
Meanwhile, just before Sunday's racist abuse, a group of teenagers are alleged to have shouted racial remarks.
Police said there were several reported about six or seven youths aged about 14 or 15 years old shouting within Hermitage Park and Victoria Road.
They also repeatedly banged on the front door of a home in Victoria Road, frightening an elderly resident.
The incidents happened between 5.30p, and 6.20pm on November 12.
Anyone with information on either of these attacks are asked to contact PC Mathieson at Helensburgh police office on 101 or Crimestoppers.
Jackie Baillie, Dumbarton constituency MSP, said: “It is shocking to hear of two racist incidents within Helensburgh on the same day along with reports of an elderly person being left terrified in their own home.
"The victims may have been traumatised and I hope they are getting the support they need.
“I urge anyone with information on these despicable acts to get in touch with police as soon as possible so they can catch the perpetrators.”
