A yellow weather warning for heavy rain has been issued across Helensburgh and Lomond with some disruption expected.
The Met Office says that heavy rain could bring some disruption to parts of southwest, central and eastern Scotland with the arrival of Storm Ciarán.
The alert is in place from 3am on Wednesday morning, November 1, until 3pm the same day.
Flooding is likely in some areas as well as spray and flooding on the roads and disruption to transport services.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Following recent very wet weather, further heavy rain is expected to affect the highlighted areas on Wednesday, spreading from south to north through the course of the day.
"Rainfall amounts are likely to reach 20-30 mm widely, with a risk of 40-50 mm in some locations, mainly over higher ground."
The local area was hit by flash flooding and travel disruption during the weekend of October 7 and 8 when nearly a month's worth of rain fell in 24 hours.
