A business owner near Helensburgh has been reported by police for allegedly supplying vehicle registration plates without permission.
Police Scotland said a joint visit to the firm was conducted by Police Scotland and the DVLA at 11.40am on October 11.
A43-year-old man at the site - an undisclosed location in the Helensburgh and Lomond area - will be reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly supplying vehicle registration plates without being registered or maintaining necessary records.
A DVLA spokesperson said: “Number plate suppliers in the UK must be registered with DVLA before they can supply number plates to motorists.
"This is to ensure that all number plates comply to British standards, and an accurate record is kept of who the number plates have been supplied to.
“This is a legal requirement, and we work closely with the police and other enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute suppliers who do not comply.”
