Organisers of a weekend celebration of autumn have hailed the great success of the event.
The Friends of Geilston Gardens thanked everyone for attending the autumn celebration full of music, food, games and apples.
They told the Advertiser: "It was such a good day in the garden.
"The garden produce stall and trail of apple facts in the orchard showcased the skill and work of the gardeners.
"There was a good range of stalls highlighting various practical ways of approaching sustainability.
"From reusing materials by crocheting plastic bags, demonstrated by Sewsillilily, knitting wool scraps into useful items and rag rugging with discarded clothing, to shopping more smartly and making apple bird feeders there was lots to learn and enjoy.
"The Butterfly Conservation Trust and Helensburgh Beekeepers were on hand to provide information on supporting our wildlife and the Climate Action Network and GRAB stall gave further helpful information.
"Phillip Barlow played his pipes around the garden and woodland providing a wonderful evocative sound. To keep everyone fuelled there was yummy soup and bread provided by The Ginger Breadman and the popular Tea and Cake stall.
"This was a great example of community groups pulling together and our thanks go to them for supporting the day. A special thanks go to the gardening team and volunteers who develop and maintain the lovely Geilston Garden which was, as ever, the star of the show."
The next event at the gardens is a Mindfulness Meander, all day on Saturday, October 14.
