A LEADING vet in Helensburgh has announced she is leaving her practice.
Karen Murphy said Lomond Vet Clinic would continue to operate after she leaves at the end of September.
In a post on the practice's social media account, Karen said it was with "mixed emotions" that she was handing the reins over to someone else after 16 years.
She said: "It has been an incredible journey filled with both challenges and many heartwarming and rewarding moments.
"I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for allowing me the privilege of caring for your pets and letting me be part of their story.
"The tail wags, purrs and cuddles have always been much appreciated and I will miss them greatly!
"Rest assured that the clinic will continue to provide the same level of care and compassion that you have come to expect. I have full confidence in my colleagues and my successor.
"Once again, thank you for entrusting me with the care of your cherished pets. It has been an honour and a privilege.
"I will carry the memories of my time here in my heart always."
She signed off with: "Wishing you and your furry and feathered friends continued health and happiness."
