THE owners of three dogs who ran off with a chicken are being sought for questioning.
Police are appealing for information from the public after the dogs were seen taking the chicken from a rear garden at Ballaichean Cnoc, Kilcreggan, at about 4am on Tuesday, August 8.
Police say the chicken was later returned unharmed.
Similar to the offence of sheep worrying, allowing a dog to make off when poultry is an offence under the Dogs (Protection of Livestock) Act 1953.
The dogs involved were described as a yellow Labrador, a black and brown spaniel, and a black collie.
If you know who owns the dogs, please contact PC Jardine at Helensburgh police office on 101.
