A CAT was found abandoned in Luss dumped at the side of the road yesterday.
A member of the public found the female cat inside a carrier at the south entrance of Old Military Road on August 15.
The animal was handed in to the Scottish SPCA's Dunbartonshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.
The charity is now appealing for information.
Centre assistant manager Ally Bibby said: “The cat is a female, black and white cat.
“She was found in a blue and white carrier, which had a small label attached by string with ‘Snowball’ written on it.
“Unfortunately she is not microchipped.
“We appreciate that whoever left the cat may have intended for her to be found but this is not the correct way to give up a pet if you can no longer care for them.
“If anyone has any information about this incident, or recognises the cat, we would encourage them to call our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
