Helensburgh swimmers of all ages and levels are invited to test their skills during an annual event at Loch Lomond.
Go Swim Loch Lomond aims to inspire swimmers to improve their skills and enjoy the open water sport.
The event features categories for all swimming abilities and will be held on Saturday, September 2 at Balloch’s Loch Lomond Shores.
Beginner options include the child friendly 250-metre course for those eight and over and the 750 and 1,500 metre options.
Experienced swimmers can try the 3,000 metre, 5,000 metre and 10,000 metre categories.
A representative from organiser Go Swim said: “There will be open water swimming events for all ages and standards of swimmers, including the family friendly 250-metre option for those aged eight plus (when accompanied by an adult) and 750 metre and 1,500 metre options for those just starting out in open water swimming.
“For the more experienced swimmer 3,000 metre, 5,000 metre and 10,000 metre options will also available, that includes generous cut offs to allow for those who want to take it a bit easier.”
Entrants will be given a swim cap, access to changing tents and a bag drop tent, and will have their swim chip timed.
Finishers will receive a medal and t-shirt to commemorate their achievement.
A land and water safety and first aid team will be on site to ensure everyone’s safety.
