FOUR Helensburgh bowlers have found success at a national competition.
The members of Helensburgh Bowling Club had competed as a team of four locally, then won district finals and went to the nationals.
Elizabeth Fraser, Anne King, Veronica Bell and Margaret Grant took a bronze medal at the National Championship at Northfield, the Scottish National Centre for Bowling in Ayr.
The team played in the senior ladies over-55s section across three days.
The club told us: "The whole team played really well and put in a great team effort getting through to the semi-finals where they came up against a team of Scottish international players from Midlothian.
"The Helensburgh Ladies having been knocked out at this stage were awarded the bronze medal. The team are looking forward to continuing achieving success in the future."
