PIRATES may be more associated with the Caribbean than Loch Lomond these days - but a call has gone out for the area's very own Long John Silvers and Jack Sparrows to join in an upcoming family event.
The team at the Maid of the Loch paddle steamer is calling all pirates to join them for their Swashbuckling at the Maid event in August.
Tickets are on sale now for the bash, which will include a treasure hunt, fancy dress, crafts, games, face painting, cakes and more throughout the weeend of August 5 and 6.
Children cost £6 each, and adults go free to the sessions at the Maid, pier and slipway between 11am and 4pm on both days.
Organisers said: "Are you ready to walk the plank? Or hunt those shark infested waters for pirate gold? Prize for the best pirate outfit, lots of piratey crafts and maybe you'll find that gold if you follow the map."
There will be plenty to interest adults as well as young pirates at the event.
Tickets are available through EventBrite or on the day.
