Helensburgh locals have been encouraged to commemorate their favourite parts of the town through a crafty upcoming project.
Eco-friendly group Plastic Free Helensburgh and pottery studio Pitter Patter Potter are creating a 'Helensburgh Landmark Trail' – but they need your help.
Residents have been asked to join an event at the pottery studio on West Clyde Street between 11am and 4pm on Wednesday, July 19, when they can make baubles showcasing the town’s landmarks and fun facts about the area.
The crafts will be included in the outdoor trail coming to town this August which hopes to attract families and tourists and promote the best of what the town has to offer.
A representative from Plastic Free Helensburgh said: “Pitter Patter Potter have been asked by Plastic Free Helensburgh to help create a trail of Helensburgh Landmarks and Helensburgh facts for a fun Summer Trail for families and tourists in August.”
Previous bauble making sessions for the project were held at Pitter Patter Potter’s studio where artsy locals honoured Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the town’s beach.
All equipment will be provided at the studio.
Entry costs £10 with pottery made during the session returned once the event is over.
Those who are interested can book a place by contacting the studio on 07795 915981 or via their Facebook page.
