Helensburgh and Lomond kids can take advantage of over a month of free swimming sessions at the town’s pool.
Youths aged 16 and under can enjoy free access to the Helensburgh Leisure Centre pool – as well as fun sessions held in the facilities - until Friday, August 11.
The initiative was launched by liveArgyll through Argyll and Bute Council and aims to provide kids of all financial circumstances with the chance to exercise, learn an important skill, and have fun during the summer.
A liveArgyll representative said: “We understand the importance of providing the children within our communities with accessible recreational opportunities in a safe environment.
“Swimming, a beloved pastime for generations, not only promotes physical well-being but also nurtures confidence, social skills, and a sense of accomplishment.
“The knowledgeable and friendly staff are ready to guide our young swimmers through their aquatic adventures, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
“Through this partnership between liveArgyll and Argyll and Bute Council, we are breaking down financial barriers and ensuring that every child has the chance to dive into the joy of swimming.
“Together, let us create a summer of fun, growth, and shared experiences.”
The free swimming programme is running throughout Argyll and Bute with the offer also available throughout facilities in Campbeltown, Dunoon and Rothesay.
