Loch Lomond has long enjoyed a reputation as one of Scotland's favourite beauty spots, with large numbers of people flocking to the area for day trips and longer stays every year.
And with the weather getting better and visitors from across the world ready to descend on Loch Lomond this summer, finding the best spots to set up camp is a must.
Luckily the loch has dozens of camping spots with great views, excellent access and plenty of necessary amenities nearby.
So if you're thinking of overnighting in the great outdoors at the bonnie banks this summer, we've taken a look at some of the best camping spots, as rated by the people who've used them - as well as some of the things you'll need to know before you head out.
Is it legal to camp anywhere in Scotland?
Across Scotland, there are dozens of Camping Management Zones known as permit areas. In these places, campers must have a permit to camp and must book these spots at least four weeks in advance.
Outside of these clearly marked areas, it is not required that campers seek a permit, meaning those who 'wild camp' can do so freely.
The Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority, which is responsible for managing the area, operates a number of camping management zones - and also has camping byelaws that are in place from March 1 to September 30 every year.
The park authority's website has a wealth of detail on what you'll need to know before setting out, whether you're planning to camp in the wild or within a permit zone.
