A PRIMARY school has hit out after people who flocked to Loch Lomond to enjoy the warm weather left huge amounts of litter in the area.
Last week, Luss Primary School decided to write to local MSPs to voice their concerns after pictures taken on June 1 revealed used barbecues, plastic packaging and litter strewn across the beach in their village.
They are now calling on local politicians and the community to prevent further littering ahead of the summer holidays.
Earlier this month on social media, they said: "We were so sad to see the mess left behind by visitors to our village yesterday.
"We have written to our MSPs to express our concern and we are looking forward to meeting them soon. We’ve also spoken to our community about how we can work together to prevent this.
