Glasgow comedian Gary Meikle is coming to Helensburgh for a night of “playfully dark” laughs later this week.

Gary will take to the stage in the town’s Victoria Halls on Thursday, June 1 as part of his ‘2.5’ tour that he’s taking around the UK and Ireland.

He said: “My targets as always will be my girls and me as well as life observations on things like, how equality between the sexes has a clear definitive line, all medication side effects, my loathing of stupid questions, how our ancestors were idiots and much, much more.

“I’m going to remain to be playfully dark and as always do what I do best which is to be relatable, honest and give you an insight to what it’s like to be me.”

Most of Gary’s comedy is observational and draws from his real life experiences as a single dad and grandad.

Gary first stepped into the Glasgow comedy scene in 2014 and his grown his fanbase over the years, going from open mics to headlining the Royal Concert Hall thanks partly to clips of his comedic rants going viral on social media.

He has also built up an international fanbase – particularly in America - and toured globally in countries such as Canada, Dubai and throughout Europe.

Tickets for Gary’s Helensburgh show cost £24.75 and are available here: www.tickets.ents24.com/event/tickets/eventid/2289137.
