The staff of a Helensburgh restaurant have thanked customers for helping them win the title of one of Scotland’s best eateries.
Indian restaurant Annaya’s was given a Highly Commended title in the ‘Best Restaurant’ category in the Scotland-wide Entertainment and Hospitality Awards on Thursday, May 18.
The restaurant was one of four to win in their category – with three restaurants being highly commended and one overall winner - which was determined purely by customer votes.
Assistant manager Samir said: “It just shows everything that the staff and the team put in.
“The hours and the attention to detail in terms of service and the food itself - it’s good to get recognised.
“It gives our staff an incentive to continue to work harder and try and maintain that status.
“The credit goes to the customer just as much as our team because they’ve supported us through thick and thin over the last nine years that we’ve been a part of this community.”
Annaya’s was established in 2014 and has been poplar in the town ever since, receiving rave reviews from customers and being ranked the town’s top restaurant on TripAdvisor with a rating of five stars.
The business is no stranger to awards, winning in the Scottish Curry Awards, Scottish Asian Food Awards, and the Spice Awards to name a few.
The staff now look forward to this year’s Spice Awards which is set to take place on Monday, September 11.
The Entertainment and Hospitality Awards ceremony was held in Glasgow’s Doubletree Hotel.
