A renowned Helensburgh baker will be speaking at an afternoon tea hosted by a local children’s charity branch.
Susan Gardner will be attending the Helensburgh branch of Save the Children's summer afternoon tea on Friday, June 9 at 2pm in the Helensburgh Sailing Club.
The baker was a finalist in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition and will tell the story of her time in the contest.
The branch also plan on having 10-year-old junior finalist and Helensburgh boy Oliver Scullion at the event.
Chair of the Helensburgh branch, Diana Macintosh said: “This year the speaker is local baker, Susan Gardner, a finalist in the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pudding Competition, who will give us an illustrated talk about the experience.
“We are hoping that a finalist in the Junior Competition, Oliver Scullion, will join her.”
