HELENSBURGH'S food bank is appealing for more residents to step up and volunteer to help its work.
In particular Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank needs volunteers to help put food donations into stock at the food bank store on the Churchill estate.
This happens on Thursday and Friday mornings between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
The group said volunteers need to be reasonably strong and fit to lift heavy crates of tinned food - and like counting. Adding up, arranging items neatly on shelves are key parts of the work.

A spokesperson told the Advertiser: "The work is in teams of up to four. It’s hard work, but rewarding.
"The food bank is looking for people who can commit regularly, but as the amount of work can vary, they are also looking for those who can fill in occasionally."
The food bank is also looking for a stock administrator, or co-administrators, who are comfortable with spreadsheets.
But they will also be happy to lift and stack crates of food, help volunteer teams on Thursdays and Fridays, and help make decisions month by onth on what food is going out and keeping stock levels just right.
The food bank said: "The administrator needs to be able to work flexibly over different days of the week, and occasionally at weekends, to fit in with the weekly food bank timetable.
"The role is key to the successful operation of the food bank: the right person might have retail or wholesale experience, or a background in book-keeping or accountancy.
"But if you have none of those, but think you are able to acquire those skills, please get in touch with the foodbank team."
