THE founder of the UK’s only charity set up to provide sailing opportunities for people with autism will give a talk about his work at Cove Sailing Club this week.
Murray MacDonald, who is autistic himself, is a member of Cove Sailing Club.
He will talk about the work of Autism On The Water at the club this Friday, March 10, at 8pm.
Autism On The Water (AOTW) is a registered charity dedicated to increasing awareness of the autistic spectrum through sailing and boating in general.
It also aims to encourage autistic people to access sailing which can help increase confidence, problem-solving and social skills.
AOTW aim to demonstrate that there are no barriers to stop or prevent the sport of sailing from being accessible to all.
Friday’s event is open to members and non-members alike. Admission is free and the clubhouse bar will be open.
