Helensburgh Community Council and Helensburgh Garelochside Rotary Club are jointly hosting a community event this weekend to promote interest in local groups/organisations.
More than 60 clubs and societies will be present under one roof at Hermitage Academy this Saturday, March 4, from 10am until 3pm promoting their activities.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: You will really be impressed by the range of activities available for all ages and interests; sports, music, arts, choirs, hobby clubs, uniformed organisations, pre-school, youth clubs, adult education, volunteering, gardening, and environmental.
“This is a great opportunity to start a new hobby or sport or find a volunteering role that suits you.
“We will have fun for younger ages as the Model Rail Club will be on hand with a display, where you can have a go at the controls.
“Helensburgh Community Council will also be there to gather your views as we move to phase two of development at the waterfront.
“Entry is free and we really do look forward to welcoming you and showing you what’s on your doorstep.”
Refreshments will be on sale organised by Grey Matters selling tea/coffee and home baking.
There will be entertainment from Helensburgh Fiddlers, Helensburgh Strings, pupils from Hermitage Academy, Third Rock Band, and the Lomond and Clyde Orchestra.
The Royal Northern and Clyde Yacht Club will also be bringing their skiff along, giving you a chance to try out your rowing technique.
