The Cove and Kilcreggan 10k has received a spring in its step with a £5,000 funding boost.
The support, from Awards for All, will help to cover some of the running costs for the event on June 4, 2023, to ensure it can be organised safely for everyone involved.
News of the award comes ahead of the route for the race being published - this is expected to follow soon.
Also set to follow is a ten-week training programme to help participants prepare for the race, which will also include a 10k walk.
Runners and walkers will be rewarded with a medal, featuring a logo designed by designed by Richard Mullen, inspired by the Tut Tut Rock which is the Cove and Kilcreggan Community Hub emblem, designed by Stephen Clayton, post master from Kilcreggan Post Office.
