A picturesque village on Loch Lomond has been ranked as one of the top scenic spots in Scotland.
Luss saw off competition from some popular visitor sites, placing second on HomeToGo’s list of the top ten trending travel beauty spots in the country.
The village, which lies on the loch’s western shore, was praised for its “breathtaking mountain views” and “rows of quaint flower-covered cottages”.
The range of walks available, ranging from family-friendly to more advanced, was also noted.
Topping the list, Lamlash on the Isle of Arran was described as “an idyll for outdoor and nature lovers”.
With sea kayaking, wildlife watching sessions, and day trips to the Holy Isle available, there is a variety on offer in the village.
The list included the Highland village of Morar, Pittenweem the Fife coast, and the world-famous Glencoe in the top five.
Fort Augustus (Highland), Cellardyke (Fife), Ballater (Aberdeenshire), Cullen (Moray), and Lochinver (Highland) completed the top ten.
The ratings were based on searched made for accommodation via hometogo.com.
