A HELENSBURGH version of a special Christmas service will take place at a church in town this weekend.
St Michael and All Angels Church in William Street is hosting its own Service of Nine Lessons and Carols – modelled on the famous service held each Christmas Eve at King’s College Chapel in Cambridge – this Sunday, December 18.
Members of the congregation will read the Nine Lessons, interspersed by the singing of well-known Christmas carols, accompanied by the church’s organ and choir.
Sunday evening’s candlelit service starts at 6.30pm and all are welcome to attend.
