All council off-street parking will be free across Helensburgh in the run-up to Christmas, council bosses have confirmed.
Argyll and Bute Council said off-street and pay and display parking would be free throughout the local authority from December 9 to 24.
This is to support businesses, "encourage spending" and the area's recovery from the pandemic, which has included moves such as the Argyll and Bute gift card.
Councillor Andrew Kain, policy lead for roads and transport, said: "Our local independent businesses play a key role in supporting the local economy.
"Many of them are still dealing with the impact of the pandemic. By providing free parking, we hope residents will continue to support local shops and keep spending local.”
