HARPIST, composer and singer Esther Swift will perform at Lochgoilhead Village Hall and the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar this weekend.
Likened to Kate Bush, Anna Meredith and Björk, Esther combines her love of folk, jazz, classical, and all things in between in these one-off solo performances.
A prolific, boldly innovative harpist, composer and singer, Esther works across genres as diverse as classical chamber music and free improvisation.
She has been commissioned by Celtic Connections, Chamber Music Scotland, Manchester Jazz Festival, The Edwin Morgan Trust and has toured internationally as part of her bands Emergence Ensemble and Twelfth Day.
These performances explore ritual, connection, isolation and the natural world.
Esther’s Lochgoilhead concert is on Friday, November 11, and her Arrochar performance is on Saturday, November 12.
Both concerts start at 7.30pm and are organised by the Argyll Arts Collective, who are asking people to ‘pay what you can’ to attend.
Tickets are on sale in advance at estherswift.co.uk/gigs.
