Members of Helensburgh and Lomond's community councils have spoken of their sadness following the death of the Queen.
Norman Muir, convenor of Helensburgh Community Council, said: "The Helensburgh Community Council share the sadness and sense of loss experienced by the community at the recent death of Her Majesty, The Queen.
"Her reign spanned some 70 years and touched all our lives. Above all, she embodied an ethos of service before self that should remain a lasting legacy as an example to us all."
Rosneath and Clynder Community Council took to social media to pay tribute.
In a Facebook post, the group said: "It is with great sadness that the Rosneath and Clynder Community Council mark the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
"On behalf of our community we give thanks for her Majesty’s life of service. Her Majesty will be remembered for the values and traditions that she upheld.
"Our deepest sympathies are with the Royal Family and all who are feeling a sense of loss at this time.
"God Bless her Majesty the Queen and Long Live the King."
Tributes have also been paid by the area's MSPs, councillors, and Provost.
