The Maid of the Loch paddle steamer will be open to visitors free of charge this Saturday as part of Scotland’s annual Doors Open Days festival.
The Chariots of Steam model ship exhibition on board will be open to visitors for free from 10-4pm on the day.
Members of the Knightswood Model Boating Club will also come along to sail their lovingly-made creations on both Saturday and Sunday.
The ‘Ship on the Slip’ attraction is open to the public throughout the weekend - as it is every weekend until the end of October – while on Saturday only the boiler and cable machinery at the historic winch house at Balloch Pier will also be in operation.
In addition, hard hat tours (for which a fee is payable) are available all weekend. See maidofthe loch.org for full details.
