A family fun day is set to be held to celebrate the opening of a new path at Whinny Hill Wood near Balloch.
The event is being held by Woodland Trust Scotland and West Dunbartonshire Council and is taking take place on Thursday, August 11 between 10.30am and 2pm.
A self-led trail will lead visitors to fun activities around the wood, organised with help from the Ranger at Balloch Castle Country Park.
Those looking to head along should go to the start of the path in Balloch Castle Country Park which will be signposted from the Castle car park.
The event is free and no booking is required.
It is recommended to come dressed for an adventure with good sturdy shoes perfect for exploring the wood as well as waterproofs in case it rains.
The activities being held are suitable for toddlers to 11-year-olds.
An official opening ceremony will take place at 10.30am but families can head out on the trail at any time during the day.
