THE newest piece of Helensburgh’s story, as told by the Outdoor Museum in the town centre, has been unveiled.
The latest addition to the collection of plinths in Colquhoun Square marks the Arts Society’s 25 years in the town.
The plinth was unveiled last week after an open day for the Arts Society Lomond and Argyll in the nearby Victoria Halls which also featured a free lecture by society member and TV antiques expert Roo Irvine.
A spokesperson for the Helensburgh branch of the society, which was formed in 1997, said: “We are delighted at the success of the Arts Society Lomond and Argyll open day.
“We celebrated our silver anniversary, enjoyed an interactive lecture from committee member and BBC presenter Roo Irvine, and also unveiled our Arts Society Plinth in Colquhoun Square.
“The turn-out was fantastic and we welcomed new faces and existing members for a joyous occasion.”
