WEEKEND visitors to the Maid of the Loch had more than one piece of vintage machinery to feast their eyes on.
Members of the Ayrshire Classic Car Club and the Western Thoroughbreds brought a beautifully-maintained selection of vintage vehicles from across the decades to Balloch for the occasion, ensuring that - for a few hours at least - the Maid herself had quite a few rivals for the attention of the public.
Plenty of those who attended also took the opportunity to step on board the ship to find out more about the work being undertaken to restore the last paddle steamer to be built in Britain.
They also enjoyed the display of model ships created by local resident Lachie Stewart, on display in the Maid's saloon throughout this summer.
A Maid spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who turned out for the classic car display.
"It was a glorious day and thanks to Ayrshire Classics Car Club and Western Thoroughbreds for sharing these beautiful cars with us.”
The Maid is open to the public every weekend throughout the summer.
