Loch Lomond has been named as one of the "most Instagrammable locations" in the country.
Research from Heriott Watt University reveals that Loch Lomond is the second most instagrammable location in Scotland with 501,498 posts.
In first place was Edinburgh Castle with 602,806 posts and Loch Ness in third with 439,736.
Meanwhile Ben Nevis came fourth with 218, 208 and St Kila with 199,217 posts.
The university said that the destinations were taken from the most popular list on Trip Advisor and calculated based on total number of posts per hashtag.
Previously the Advertiser told how a Luss street was crowned one of the most 'Instagrammable' in Scotland last year.
Pier Road was named in the top 10 of an Instagram survey conducted by Direct2Florist, which compiled the data based on a newspaper survey of the UK's streets and issued rankings based on the total number of Instagram hashtags.
With its quaint cottages leading to the Loch Lomondside pier proving a photogenic spot for members of the social media platform, Pier Road came in at number nine in the top 10 "Most Instragrammable Streets" in Scotland.
