ATHLETES from around Helensburgh and Lomond are making their final preparations for the Run Loch Lomond event in Balloch this weekend.
Returning to the calendar on Saturday, June 18 after being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of Covid, this year’s event features three separate races – a 10K through the streets of Balloch and Alexandria, a 5K within Balloch Castle Country Park, and a fun run for children aged up to P7 taking place entirely in Moss O’ Balloch Park.
The fun run, for children up to P7 age, starts at 9am, the 10K (open to runners aged from 15 upwards) at 10am, and the 5K (open to runners from 11 years upwards) at 10.20am.
If you haven't already entered, you can take part on the day, but please turn up in plenty of time before the start of your chosen race.
