Primary school pupils across Helensburgh and Lomond took part in celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee last week, before enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
With parties taking place up and down the country to mark the monarch’s 70th year on the throne, each school marked the occasion in its own way.
Luss Primary School welcomed parents and carers for an afternoon tea party.
They enjoyed cake and danced in the sunshine, and even had a visit from the Queen herself - albeit in cardboard form!
At Parklands School, families were also invited along for the school’s first in-person event since before the pandemic.
The Parklands choir performed and everyone enjoyed some fun in the sun.
A special assembly was also held to help the pupils prepare for the occasion.
Pupils at Rosneath Primary planted a tree as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy project and held a celebration wearing their best red, white and blue attire, with some beautiful party dresses on show too.
St Joseph’s Primary and Pre-5 Unit held a double celebration by marking the Jubilee and holding a fundraising event on the same day.
Pupils made crowns to wear to a special themed lunch and classes took part in activities in which they learned about Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.
The school’s parent council relaunched its fundraising activities with a crazy hair day.
Pupils displayed a range of wonderful colours and styles, with head teacher Claire Thomson even joining in on the fun.
