A RHU couple who featured in the final of BBC One’s Scotland’s Home of the Year have said it was an “honour” to take part in the contest.
Patricia Rodi and Patrick Phillips made it to the final four on Monday night’s show, which was filmed at Glasgow’s House For An Art Lover.
Rhu Boathouse represented the west of Scotland and joined eight other regional finalists to compete for the title.
The competition was won by New Tolsta, a 20th century croft house which lies north of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.
The home lay empty for 40 years before artist Tom Hickman bought it in 2006 and restored it.
Patricia said: “It was an amazing experience and so lovely to have made it so far in the competition and be able to share our ethos, and more specifically that you can create a home special to you with reused and upcycle items.
“It’s been an honour to have made it as far as we did and I’m so proud of the home we have created.
“It was such an amazing line up and all houses were so special in their own right. A stunning winning house and a worthy winner.”
