The impact of the Covid pandemic on how small enterprises do business will be the focus in the last of a series of Zoom webinars organised by Helensburgh Community Council (HCC).
Professor Eleanor Shaw of Strathclyde University, who was made an OBE in the New Year honours list in December for her services to entrepreneurship and education, will give the talk on Thursday, March 24 at 7pm.
Her talk will explore some of the trends the pandemic has either accelerated or shone a light on, as well as discussing challenges specific to the west of Scotland and broader trends in society, community and the economy which could have implications for how we live, work and engage with others.
Professor Shaw’s talk will also look at the potential for an entrepreneurial mindset to respond to the opportunities and challenges presented by these trends, and how that might help organisations respond and flourish in the ‘next normal’.
To register your interest in attending next Thursday’s talk, email HCC member Tariq Durrani on tsdurran@gmail.com and you’ll be sent an invitation to join the meeting shortly before it begins.
