Rhu and Shandon Parish Church have organised the aid drive for those fleeing Ukraine
MEMBERS of Rhu and Shandon Parish Church have organised a drop-off session next weekend for donations of clothes to refugees in eastern Europe.
Thousands of people in Ukraine have been fleeing to safety in Poland and elsewhere since the start of the Russian invasion last week.
The church congregation has joined forces with the Glasgow: The Caring City charity to organise the clothes collection at the church in the village on Saturday, March 12.
Donations of clothes – which must be in wearable condition – can be dropped off at the church between 10am and 12noon on Saturday.
The organisers say they are unable to facilitate any other collection times or pick-up points.
