THE knitters and crafters behind a bid to set a world record in Helensburgh have thanked everyone who backed the project so far.
The Community Links Paperchain Project has already managed more than 600 metres of knitted links – with the progress unveiled at the Helensburgh Winter Festival at the end of November.
A spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the project so far.
“Whether you attended our workshops, knitted in front of the telly, crocheted in a group, helped stitch links or supported us in any way, you helped us achieve 625 metres of links so far.
“We will begin again in 2022, working towards a Guinness Book of Records attempt later in the year.”
The project is also seeking the views of participants.
The survey can be completed at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/9FH7SM7.
The spokesperson added: “Let us know how the project benefitted you - whether it made you feel a part of our community, made you feel less lonely or isolated or benefitted your well-being or mental health.”
