HELENSBURGH and Lomond's MP has accused the Prime Minister of "shattering public interest" following allegations of a Christmas party at Downing Street.
Brendan O'Hara is calling on Boris Johnson to resign "immediately" after reports of top civil servants flouting Covid restrictions last December.
The SNP representative for Argyll and Bute said: "Finally, Boris Johnson has been exposed as the self-serving hypocrite many of us have suspected for a long time.
"I sincerely hope that his breath-taking arrogance in believing that he and his ilk are above the law, will finally be his undoing."
The politician hailed the country's efforts in following the rules but blasted the Prime Minister and his Downing Street "cronies" for "willfully and gleefully" breaking lockdown restrictions.

Mr O'Hara added: "He came to the Commons to apologise but in reality, his only regret is having been caught.
"Now to see him attempt to throw civil servants and Downing Street staff under the bus to save his own skin, is nauseating."
The politician highlighted the unknowns surrounding the new Omicron variant and questioned the Prime Minister's authority to command public trust given the allegations.
Boris Johnson has repeatedly said no Covid rules were broken.
A probe into the alleged “gathering” is set to be launched.
Advertiser readers have got involved in the debate on whether Christmas parties are a good idea this year.
Paul Bailey thought festive gatherings should go ahead: "It's not going away. Live your best life and enjoy what you want."
Heather Mackintosh disagreed: “I would probably err on the side of caution having had Covid and it wasn't pleasant.
"For the sake of the NHS and the totally awesome, but exhausted staff, is it worth a nativity play or stupid Xmas party?"
One reader, Jen Allison, added: "All the politicians have been in the wrong at some point. England and Scotland leaders are as bad as each other.”
And Sheena Foy said: “Do what is safe for you and family, let Borris and his mates do what they like.”
