HELENSBURGH drag queen Lawrence Chaney is set to show off their sewing skills as part of a festive BBC competition.
The Drag Race UK winner will be competing in a Christmas edition of The Great British Sewing Bee alongside journalist Kirsty Wark, Steps singer Claire Richards, Coronation Street’s Anthony Cotton, actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe and comedian Rose Matafeo.
The two-part series will see the stars follow a pattern for a Christmas jumper, transform a charity shop bundle into a fancy-dress outfit and create dresses from Christmas past.
Lawrence previously wowed RuPaul with their handmade designs when they appeared on the drag competition after receiving lessons as a teenager.
No broadcast date has been announced for the festive edition of the show, but it is set to hit screens some time in the coming weeks.
