A HELENSBURGH woman was caught two and a half times the drink drive limit after her car was spotted weaving across the carriageway on the A814.
Nicola McDougall, of Camperdown Court, was arrested after a vehicle was seen failing to maintain lane discipline on the road between Ferry Road in Cardross and Castlehill Road in Dumbarton on August 25.
McDougall, 53, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court for sentencing on November 9 after pleading guilty to being over the drink drive limit in Cardross.
The court was told McDougall had provided a breath sample with a level of 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
The legal limit in Scotland is 22 microgrammes.

Last week’s hearing was told McDougall was the owner of the vehicle at the time of the incident, but that its ownership had changed in October, though she remained on the insurance policy.
Sheriff Frances McCartney said: “I think the fact that the registered keeper of the vehicle has changed recently does raise a question mark.”
McDougall was banned for 16 months and placed on a community payback order with 18 months of social work supervision.
She was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and to get alcohol and drug counselling.
