A LUXURY Loch Lomond hotel has been named in a national list of 'Best Places to Stay' just one month after reopening.
Cameron House Hotel, on the banks of Loch Lomond, has been crowned Best Family Hotel in the Sunday Times 2021 list, published this week.
The hotel reopened to the public last month following a significant refurbishment as a result of a fire in December 2017.
The guide is split into eight regions: London, Southeast, Southwest, Central, East, North, Wales and Scotland.
There are also winners in eight different categories; Budget, B&B, Foodie, Family, Coastal, Pub, Country and Romantic.
The Sunday Times Best Places to Stay guide said: “A grand Loch Lomond mansion that’s a treat for couples and families. This 1830s Scots baronial mansion on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond is a cracking high-end resort for families with deep pockets.”
The resort's owners secured planning permission in early 2020 for a £17.5million extension to the hotel, including a ballroom and 68 bedrooms.
