TALKS are under way to set up a ‘school clothing bank’ covering the whole of Argyll and Bute, a report has revealed.
Argyll and Bute Council wants to establish facilities in areas which don’t already have them, covering both primary and secondary pupils, by March 2022.
A report to the area’s community planning partnership says that talks have been held with the Helensburgh Uniform Bank – run by Helensburgh Parish Church and described as “an already established and well run clothing bank” – as well as with groups in Rothesay, Dunoon and Campbeltown, and that “all appear to be keen to support an Argyll and Bute wide clothing bank model”.
