A HELENSBURGH man has been charged with dangerous driving after a crash at the Crosskeys roundabout to the north of the town last week.
Police were called to a report of an accident at the junction of the A818 and B832 shortly after midnight on Thursday, September 23.
On arrival officers discovered that a white Volkswagen Scirocco had crashed off the road, collided with a wall and ended up in some bushes off the road.
After enquiries it was reportedly found that the vehicle had crashed as a result of being driven on the wrong side of the carriageway.
Police say a 38-year-old man from East King Street in the town was confirmed as the driver and only occupant of the vehicle, and that checks found he was not insured to drive the car.
The man was charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance. The vehicle was seized by police and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
