A MAN has been reported to the procurator fiscal after allegedly driving a £60,000 sports car without insurance on the A83 near Arrochar.
Police officers were on patrol in the area just before 1am on Tuesday, September 7 when they carried out vehicle checks on a black Porsche Cayenne.
Checks reportedly revealed that the vehicle was not insured and officers stopped the car to ensure road traffic legislation was being complied with.
According to police, the circumstances of the policy could not be confirmed and the driver, a 49-year-old from the village of Minard, between Inveraray and Lochgilphead, was instructed to provide proof of insurance within seven days.
It was later confirmed the vehicle had not been insured and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
