MEMBERS of a group set up to provide peer support for men in the Helensburgh area – and a sister group set up for women – will be taking part in a local version of the Kiltwalk charity fund-raiser this weekend.
The Males Tales and Females Tales group had originally planned to take part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk event from the city centre to Balloch this Sunday, September 26 to raise cash to help meet their running costs.
But the group announced this week that because of the ongoing strikes affecting ScotRail services on Sundays – with all Helensburgh trains cancelled last Sunday and more disruption expected on the day of the Kiltwalk – they would instead cover the same distance but only around the Helensburgh area.
The group is hoping to raise £250 from the event. Donations can be made online at bit.ly/malestaleskiltwalk.
