A CONVOY of around 20 classic cars will pass through Helensburgh this weekend as their owners return to the area for the first time since Covid restrictions were eased.
The vintage vehicle tour visited the town and surrounding villages last August but spectators were unable to get a close look due to social distancing guidelines.
On Saturday, August 14, however, members of the public will get a chance to fully appreciate the cars as they travel through the Burgh on their way round the peninsula to Cove Burgh Hall.
Overspill parking for visitors will be available at Cove Sailing Club, just a few minutes’ walk from the hall, and the hall’s toilets will be available on the day.

One of 2020’s most popular attractions, a 1959 Beardmore London taxi owned and driven by Sandra Brown from Glasgow, will be returning, although the weather will play a role in which cars take part.
The cars will be in the Kidston car park at around 11am on Saturday. They will then drive eastwards along the front, turning at the roundabout at the old Hermitage Academy site, then returning westwards, following the coast road through Helensburgh, Rhu, Shandon, Garelochead, Clynder, Rosneath and Kilcreggan before making their stop at Cove Burgh Hall.
The plan is for the cars to be on show in the Hall car park between 12.15pm and 1.45pm.
