TWO luxury glamping pods could be built in Arrochar if plans are approved by National Park chiefs.
An application for the holiday lets development at the Stronafyne Cottage site in the village was submitted to the National Park Authority at the end of June.
Applicant and landowner Stuart McLean is seeking to demolish an existing dilapidated stables building and change the use of the land to a caravan site housing two timber holiday let pods.
The application, submitted by Rosneath-based agent Gordon Harrison, states: “[The] pods [are] to be quality western red cedar clad units with dark grey double glazed uPVC window/doors and grey soffits.

“New sanitary facilities to connect into existing over-sized septic tank currently used by Stronafyne Cottage.
“[The] pods are orientated to make the most of the view up the valley while fence and natural screen planting ensures privacy between all three properties.”
The number of parking spaces available on site would also be doubled from three to six.
