COMIC book fans are set to flock to the shores of Loch Lomond later this month as a popular event makes a welcome return after Covid.
The Big Glasgow Comic Page is hoping to attract crowds of fans in costume to Loch Lomond Shores on Saturday, July 24 – with a further event planned for Saturday, August 21.
The conventions traditionally see fans gather wearing their fictional hero’s costume to enjoy the buzz of the comic book world with various stalls selling comic books and memorabilia as well as food and drinks.
With Covid-19 putting a stop to traditional large conventions normally seen in the likes of Glasgow’s SEC, BGCP are now organising weekly markets all over Scotland and Loch Lomond is next in a long waited return.
Organiser Ian Bonar, of BGCP Comic Con, said: “With Covid we’ve had to postpone most of our bigger events and while in Level 3 we realised we could run smaller markets on a weekly basis and they have been brilliant fun so far.
"The turn out for each event has been exceptional, and this is the fourth time we’ve been to Loch Lomond but on a much smaller scale.
“We hope to put on a great, safe event.”
Expect traders to have comic books, graphic novels, action figures, trading cards, art and more on sale.
