TWO men have been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly breaching camping by-laws in Arrochar.
Police were patrolling the village on Saturday night, May 1 due to increased numbers of visitors over the bank holiday weekend and officers spoke to two males to advise them that they were within the camping management zone.
Officers confirmed that the pair - a 25-year-old from Cumbernauld and a 32-year-old from Glasgow - had not purchased a permit from the National Park Authority which would allow them to camp in the area.
The National Park’s camping management zones are now in operation in line with the easing of lockdown restrictions, and permits – at a cost of £3 per tent per night – must be bought from the park authority to allow wild camping.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
